Hello
My name is Bill Noelker and my business is WNDesigns located in Norman, Oklahoma. I create one-of-a-kind wearable pieces of art for you to enjoy and treasure. I work mostly in sterling silver, copper and brass using traditional silversmithing methods.
I am a combat veteran who has struggled with mental health issues directly related to my time in service. I discovered the healing powers of creating art purely by accident when I was looking for a way to keep my brain occupied. For those of you who have struggled with the symptoms of trauma you are familiar with the daily struggle to keep your mind from wandering to dark places. I soon realized that the act of being creative helped with many of my symptoms. I was less angry, less depressed, less agitated and the dreaded nightmares became less severe. I came to the conclusion that in order for me to live as happy and healthy as possible I needed to create full time. And so began my journey with WNDesigns.
My goal is to continue creating beautiful pieces of handmade art that people can wear and enjoy and in the process raise awareness for the healing power of creating art. I am honored that you have taken the time out of your day to read these words and if you feel the urge please share my site with others who may be struggling with mental health issues.
